Kinja'd!!!

I personally don't repost what I write at all. If nobody reads it, or I don't get many comments I just let it go. But that only applies to me, what do my fellow Oppofolk do?

I would appreciate though it if a few more people found my Oppo review from last night and at least give it a read. I spent like an hour on that. If you want to read it, it's on my sidebar. First one there.

If you posted on off hours like at night or the weekend? Go for it.

If you posted during peak hours? Maybe, depends on the content.

If you've already reposted it? Probably not.

Believe it or not, the mods (Gamecat) have written guidelines addressing this very question.

I usually don't unless it's a review I wrote. Figure people didn't feel the need to comment on it, oh well. Basically all of my posts get a couple comments at least though.

But, when I ask for Oppos help to pick out cars that meet my criteria for a new used car, I'll probably repost it once or twice.

Nah, I'm not going to bother reposting it. I've invited people to have a look on this post, but I'm likely just going to leave it be.

There are rules

We enforce them

Those are my personal rules about the matter. Simple and to the point. That being said obviously content is always important in re-posting.

I'm just letting you know that they don't conform to the rules of Oppo, and we do enforce them.

You can thank Fractal Footwork for forcing our hand with this policy

I'm not trying to start something, but tons of people repost without a hitch. I never have, and probably never will, but just putting that out there. :P

Repost it, not all people are on Oppo at all times, I try to do my best to catch up on stuff I've missed but some of the best posts I've seen have been because they were reposted or shared to Oppo again.

My personal philosophy is that if you never post anything in the first place, you'll seldom have things to repost. That will probably not work for many people, but it's what I do and it is crazy effective.
